Privacy policy and GDPR

In the whole history of ICDSoft, we have always considered that treating customers with respect is something very important. This includes keeping the privacy of our customers at a highest level, and not using their personal data for anything else than for the provision of the services they pay for.

As of today, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union comes into effect. This regulation aims at protecting the privacy of EU citizens, but it also has a serious effect on how companies around the world would collect and manage personal data.

Revising the GDPR and the actions we needed to take to comply with it, we found out that the adjustments we had to make to the way we manage user data were close to none. We have never disclosed the personal data of our hosting customers to any third parties - the only exceptions are when this data should be used for domain registrations and SSL certificates. We have never made profiles of our customers, so that we target them with specific offers. We have never made marketing campaigns, filling our customers' emails with bulk offers. Thus, it turned out that we were following the basic principles of GDPR long before the GDPR existed.

Still, to confirm the way we collect and manage personal data, we have updated our Privacy policy, and you can check it here:
